Auditioning For Ballet Summer Intensives

Hi guys

So I auditioned for some summer intensives this year. It was an amazing experience to audition for summer intensives because you are able to be taught by different teachers and learn different styles of ballet and even if you don’t get into any summer intensive it is a great experience.

The summer intensives that I auditioned for were, Chautauqua, Charlotte Ballet, Washington School of Ballet, and The School of American Ballet.

I got into Charlotte Ballet and Washington School of Ballet.

I would have done more summer intensive auditions but I got into the one I really wanted (Washington School of Ballet) and to be assured you get a spot you had to give it in by the 6th of February. Also my first audition was going to be Boston Ballet but I didn’t have all my dance wear prepared and I think you needed a picture of first arabesque so I had to miss that one. (NOTE: Always make sure you are prepared for your audition and have every thing you need a week before, just incase!)

But I am really excited because I am going to Washington School of Ballet and its for 5 weeks in Washington, DC. I will be blogging there and telling you guys my experiences.

I am so excited that I already made a packing list! (cuckoo for coco puffs)

Well if you guys have any questions about my summer intensive audition experience or any questions about summer intensives I would be happy to answer them, just comment down below.

Twirling away,
Gabriella
